The Cult - The Tabernacle, Nov 15/2009
Atlanta, Georgia, The Tabernacle
Setlist
Solid show as usual. You could tell that it was the last show of a long tour. The crowd at the Tabernacle was a lot better this time around then back in 2007 for the Born Into This show. I loved hearing the Love album all the way through... and Im a bit interested to see if this trend continues with Electric.

One conclusion after seeing about 7 shows is, only about 2 of those shows have been without Billy bitching the side stage sound board tech out. Interestingly enough, I read a review from a few shows back where that individual said it was extremely distracting. I'll agree. About 3 times during the show that i witnessed, he was giving the tech an ear full point at the floor amps and then pointing at the stacks behind him and pumping his fist on the board. Im not an expert on sound, but you would think if he has this much of an issue repeatedly, you might want to either get the mix right before the show, find a tech that can or just go with it.

I'm 49 years old and I remember seeing the Cult videos on MTV back in the 80's. Recently I watched the Cult live in HD on HDNET TV and was electrified. Shortly after that tickets go on sale in Atlanta and I had to be there. I consider myself to be a rock expert with diverse tastes. The Cult is the absolute coolest, best, hard rockinest band on the planet. Without a doubt. The show in Atlanta was so good, they blew away anyone I've ever seen, and I've seen them all.

Cool to the very end!

How they're not filling stadiums I'll never understand. I want to be there promoter. I'll never miss another show. Get the word out.

I thought Ian's microphone was not turned up loud enough. I was standing near the center on the floor (near the sound stage) and thought his voice was drowned out by the instruments. I have been to two other shows at The Tabernacle, and this is the first time I had this experience. Plus, it seemed as if many people were there to pick a fight - not for the music. The Tabernacle should have more security around to prevent this.

Love Live was my first Cult show. It was literally the most AMAZING and GREATEST thing I have ever experienced. I may have only lived for 18 years but unless I see them again I doubt anything will top it. The show was incredible, and the encore was amazing. My only concearn was that it felt like only 15 minutes when it had been about 3 hours. The guys were amazing, the lights were awsome, n the background was crazy. The entire show was mind-blowing. And hopefully they'll come back to Atlanta soon. :)
