The Cult put on a stellar presentation at the Cleveland House of Blues on November 15. The
playing was very tight. Some of the highlights were certainly the new songs: "Everyman
and Woman is a Star," and "Embers." The Cult also played some well received closet classics,
like "New York City" and "White." They also served the standard diet of singles, like "She
Sells Sanctuary," "Spiritwalker," and "Love Removal Machine."
The attendance was mediocre, but that was probably due to both ticket availability less than
a month before the show, and the invisible release of the new songs on "capsule" format.
However, the crowd was engaged. Hopefully that is enough to keep this great band returning
to Cleveland.
