Just wanted to drop you a line on a recent Cult show that I took in at Viejas Casino in Alpine, CA.
The concert was originally supposed to be outdoors at the Viejas Concerts in the Park, but due to a
constant rain, the gig was shifted to the small, intimate DreamCatcher Showroom. After the opening
act was through with their set, the Cult came on around 9:40PM. They opened with 'Nirvana' (one of
my favorites and a great song to open with). The sound was great and the band was tight. The
setlist consisted more or less of a couple from each album with the exception of The Cult and
Ceremony. Ian wasn't moving around too much, but he still gave out an inspired energy and his
voice was keyed on. I thought that Sweet Soul Sister and Edie weren't the best performances, but
Dirty Little Rock Star, Illuminated, and Savages were well played (probably enjoy playing something
new). Wild Flower was a great number too. Billy, as usual, played great. This is my 6th or 7th
time seeing the Cult and it never gets old.
Enjoy your website, immensely. Keep up the good work.
