San Francisco, California, The Warfield
Headlining, opening bands: The Clicks, Death By Stereo
Just a quick note with the setlist from the SF show in case it hasn't been sent to you yet. The show was
amazing and the tightest I've seen the guys so far this tour. The energy in the crowd was fantastic and
the guys loved it. Ian's voice was was a thing of beauty and better than I've heard it at other shows this
tour as well. This has to have been the most energy from the crowd and the band I've seen so far. Pure
adrenaline, pure Cult.

The Cult can still bring it! The show was in a nicely restored small theatre. The set started off with with
Nirvana, which sounded perfect and then went into Electric ocean. Set included; Lil devil, Rise, Edie
(electric version), Revolution, Fire woman, Dirty little rock star, Assasin, Savages, Sanctuary (done to
perfection - Billy playing that big white guitar - dead on!), Phoenix ( which was introduced by Ian as the
city where acid rock was created and acid rock returns again - Billy started into a short guitar solo with
spot light and strobe and slowly worked into the intro to the song -- probably one of my favorites from this
show), Sanctuary (again - Billy dead on with the guitar - well done!), The Witch, Wild flower (with Ian
singing AC/DC dirty deeds done dirt cheap lyric complete with "oy" ala - Bon Scott - at the end of song he
paid tribute to Bon). 2 song encore of Spirit walker ( a little off on this one ) and finally Love removal
machine. Acoustics were very good. Loud but only slightly ear deadening. Billy must be losing his hearing
or something. He kept motioning to the sound man "up" with his thumb. Im glad the sound man didnt change
anything noticeable. Billys guitar was perfect! Set was just under 1.5 hours. Sad to see that they had
dropped Rain from the set. Sat next to 2 blokes that had seen the cult 6 times. Im going to watch the tour
dates and hope that they will come to the NW or Vancouver, Im going to see them again. Scammed a poster off
the wall at the theater as a souvenir and got a shirt for 20 bucks too. What a deal! The show was worth the
trip from eastern washington.

Just wanted to add to the comments made at this show they played a song
that is one of my favorites "Tiger In The Sun" they didn't actually play
it. It was played with a video between the setlist and the Encore. I was
hoping they would play it live but I'll take it any way I can! These guys
rock!

This was the best I have heard Ian sound. This is my eight Cult show, with the first coming in 1985, I have
gotten to see a lot from this band, and this was without question the most professional and quality Cult show
I have seen. Definitely disappointed they didnt play Rain, but was pleasantly surprised to see Revolution and
Phoenix on the track list. Playing a video rendition of Tiger in the Sun between the set and encores was
creative and fun. Not as much dialog as I have gotten used to from Ian, and the last time I saw them at the
Warfield he did a stage dive at the end of the show (nothing like that this time), but it was still a superb
show and the house was very much into it. Cant wait for them to come back.
