Milwaukee, Wisconsin, The Rave
Headlining, opening bands: The Clicks
I just wanted to check in to say the show was awesome. I saw them in Minneapolis in 99, Atlanta in 99 &
Milwaukee (01) and this show was the best, hands down. Ian was in a real good mood for once and Billy
was mad as hell all night long about his guitars. He was shaking his head "no" & rolling his eyes after
every solo almost. At one point, he went up to one of his amps and was about to give it a good kick
before he thought better about it. He also was bitching at his rhodie during songs. The show was just
awesome despite this. Not one dull moment, which is something I can't say about previous shows I've
attended. I wish I could remember the setlist but it escapes me. In no particular order: Electric
Ocean (WOW!), Wild Flower, Edie, Fire WOman, LRM, the Witch, Dirty Little Rockstar, Rise (wow again!),
Sanctuary, the Phoenix, I Assasin, Born into this Lil Devil. I'm sure there were more. The new songs
were awesome live.
Other highlights: Ian reminding the crowd twice to buy the album, "It isn't 1989 anymore". Billy Duffy
reminding the audience there is a 12 step recovery program for "people who piss in other people's shoes".
This reminder was after the rhythm guitarist (sorry I don't know his name) told the audience to support
Jaegermeister because it makes you do stuff "like pissing in other people's shoes. (or something like
that).
