St. Louis, Missouri, The Pageant
Headlining, opening bands: Action Action, The Clicks, The Knives
I’ll be quick. I front a band in Wichita, Ks (The Banned) and couldn’t wait to drive 7 hours up to St.
Louis with my bassist to check out the Cult. We do 6 of their songs and I was pumped. I only expected
to see a great concert but 30 minutes after leaving the stage all the members (except Tempesta) came to
the attached bar and hung out, had some drinks, and took pictures with everyone. I was very impressed.
I’ve heard that Billy and Ian are real jerks but that was completely the opposite when I met them. They
realized that their fans made them who they are today. Thanks.

Saw the lads in St. Louis last week...not sure why they had a second guitar...stage was dark on his side
all night, and billy gave him dirty looks if he got near mid stage...lol...song selection was a little
dissapointing...sun king, sweet soul sister, and rain were no shows...i think a veteran band should play
the hits, wether they are bored with them or not...thought the set was a little short as well...two or three
more songs would of been great...the giant screen was a mystery...expected cool images projected throughout
the set,but only a few images were offered...ian was in fine form vocally, but his stage performance was not
as commanding as it can be...at times he looked bored...the crowd was not a very vocal or excitable bunch, and
i think it affected his performance...seen many shows there, and people just enjoy watching rather than
jumping in there seats...hell, when the great morrissey was there this past summer,i have been to funerals
with more energy, but the show was enjoyed....as was the cult show...ian came across alot nicer to the crowd
than i have seen him earlier in his career....i liked the unpredictable ian better...the sound was top
notch, and billy was as sharp, and impressive as ever...the most underated player in rock...angus young
could not load his gear onto the stage...he had a great show....all in all,a great night...was about 15
feet stage left, and my view was great...long live the cult...
