WHAT A SHOW!!!
It has been a long time, but it was worth the wait. Last time they came to Italy
was 1994 and actually, it was not the show you will remember for the rest of your
life. Was quite disappointing, if you consider that the 89 show I saw when they
supported Aerosmith had really bad sounds and was not enjoyable at all. So I was
really looking forward for this.
And it was even better than I expected after listening to all the concerts from
the last year.
The guys were in great shape and delivered a show full of energy and very powerful
supported by a really great and ENORMOUS sound. The opening was simply incredible
with the double Nirvana-Spiritwalker, than (not in particular order, maybe missing
something but I'm sure someone will post all the setlist) they played : lil devil
- wild flower - the witch - fire woman - sweet soul sister - rain - revolution -
electric ocean - peace dog - rise - edie (acoustic) - the phoenix - and they closed
of course with love removal machine + she sells sanctuary. They had some problems
with the bass in the beginning and with Billy's guitars in the last part of the
show but nothing that could eventually ruin anything. As it was an open air, Ian
said they had to close because it was too late, which it was true, but it's also
true that sanctuary would have been the last song anyway :-))
The audience seemed responding and the band seemed to enjoy the venue. I'm not sure
about how many people there was, I was in second raw so I could not see in the back :-)
Definetly a great show, and the one I will remember them for!
